We were commissioned by Flock and True Agency to capture Stills and Moving image of KPMG’s Global ESG team (Environmental, Social and Governance). Our sitters are all change makers and Chris is a natural when it comes to working with ‘Real People’, helping to make them feel at ease and curating the perfect portraits.

The backgrounds on this project were a mix of stock and digitally created assets, developed by the the team at True Agency. With all of them being pre-agreed and supplied prior to the shoot, Chris was required to match the lighting for each sitter, to suit the chosen landscape.

“One of the pleasures of my job, as I have said often, is that I get to learn a little bit about a lot of things. In this case, the work done by leading partners at one of the worlds most prestigious accountancy firms, who are responsible for the formulation and implication of their clients’ ESG policies and strategies, all of whom come directly from a climate based background. It was indeed a great insight to talk with and listen to how these people are actively seeking to shift the ground as we move through transition to a zero carbon world. It gives hope to be in the presence of people who have a plan and are actively seeking to to make it a reality.”

Our impact

To understand our impact, we first gathered the data from all crew and cast along any expenses such as hotels, catering and travel. (Essentially any project expense paid for by Perma Collective and invoiced to the client). We then inputted and measured our impact using AdGreens carbon calculator tool.

Our impact on this project was 0.68 tCO2e which according to AdGreen, is 11% of the industry average. Below is our project impact report which breaks down the detail. We have a couple of take aways to share. Opting for vegan catering saved a whopping 1.3 tCO2c compare to feeding crew a meat based diet which is a super easy win. Vegan catering has never been better!

To end on an interesting fact. We’ve been looking at ways to show what our carbon footprint looks like in a more relatable way. Q: What does 0.68 tCO2e actually look like?! Well… If you were to fill up a Mercedes e-Sprinter, you would do so x31 times.

Now Imagine how many e-sprinters we’d fill if we didn’t make environmentally conscious choices? Collecting and measuring our data helps us to understand our impact. Our impact is reviewed internally and all learnings are carried forward into the next production.
